An Eldritch Seduction

Many individuals only grasp the surface-level meaning of ‘eldritch’; to me, it’s an omnipresent idea within our reality, pervading the innermost chambers of thought. Eldritch can be summarized as a principle of the weirdly eerie and otherworldly, a presence existing beyond the veil of existence; most importantly, it should evoke feelings of mystery, antiquity, and dread. Reading the works of Robert Chambers and H.P. Lovecraft has ignited a desire to comprehend what might be patiently observing from backstage, just beyond our door of perception. I aim to extend the terror imposed by Hastur and Dagon into an entity that, in its nascent state, realizes the existence of infinite passages yet is unable to traverse them. This changes only when it inadvertently influences a resource, setting the stage for the story’s unfolding…
